The Earth Science Institute SAS participated in the opening ceremony of The Science and Technology Week in the Centre of Science at 3 Bojnická Street on November 9–10, 2015. Within the exposition Science untraditionally, which was dedicated mainly to pupils and students but also for the general public, the Earth Science Institute SAS presented a stand, The Ancient World in Stones. Visitors could survey animal and plant fossils of different ages, found in various localities from Slovakia and abroad, in the stand. A great attraction was viewing of samples under a stereomicroscope and on the screen. Dr. Vladimír Šimo and Mgr. Tomáš Fuksi accompanied visitors across the world of fossils in the stand.
